Me Time

Me Time

Tried to create a photo story ME TIME” .

Where I’m spending some quality time by reading one of my favourite book, close to the nature, wore most comfortable dress. Roaming  around the beautiful garden with greenery around me.

I felt so good creating this photo series . Everything around me was so beautiful. The weather was also nice & all my favourite things like flowers, birds & my novel.

When we are close to the nature we feel so comfortable & refreshing that it soothes our soul. Similarly sustainable fashion has the power to touch the soul instead of just the body.

You guys know how I am trying to include some subtle sustainable clothes to my wardrobe.

I cannot end my love affair with fast fashion but slowly and steadily I can include slow fashion in my wardrobe.

From past 1 year I’m buying less clothes & repeating them. There is no harm in repeating clothes. Do it just like you repeat your own mistakes!

Also I’m creating new looks mixing different outfits together.

So, here are some tips how we can gradually move towards slow fashion & not ditch fast fashion.

1. Less is more

Suppose your wardrobe is full of purchases which you don’t wear. Instead of expanding into more closet space. You can reduce it’s size by gifting, swapping or donating items which you don’t use to make space for something new.

2. Choose quality not quantity

Low quality items are designed to be dumped after 2-3 months. So, if we invest in quality clothes they will not ditch us after 2-3 months. We can use them over years.

3. Buy organic & natural

Synthetic fabrics are made from petrochemicals & have a significant environment impact. Organic fabrics reduce these impacts. That means less pollution.

4. Buy Handmade

Buying handmade allows creative individuals to sell their hard work, get exposure, value their skills of knitting, weaving, sewing etc.

5. Reduce, Reuse & Recycle

The fashion industry is the largest polluters in the world second only to the oil industry. If we choose sustainable fashion we can make small difference for future.

Summerbarn is one such brand who offers minimalistic styles. Their style is simple yet versatile. Get your hands on some affordable sustainable clothing.

Visit their site they’ve amazing collection of dresses being it long, midi, tops etc. Also a wide range of bags and stoles.

Find meaning in what you wear

Know your clothes.

  1. First of all I would like to say great blog! I had a quick
question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing.
I’ve had a hard time clearing my mind in getting
my thoughts out there. I do take pleasure in writing however
it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally
wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?
    Many thanks!
